It’s a summer program in the United Kingdom for students aged 10-18 years. The
program provides students with a unique opportunity to have a rich cultural
experience that enhances his/her level of English language and improves their ability
to speak, develop their interpersonal skills and provides them with new skills that
distinguish them from their peers which inspires them more confidence and selfreliance.
The program focuses on three aspects:
Academic aspect (classes and teaching courses):
Students participating in the program benefit from English language courses.
The courses are interactive and are based on all aspects of language acquisition
(reading, writing, speaking, listening and grammar). Students attend 20 English
language classes per week for 4 weeks. The academic aspect is provided through
an accredited high quality institute with a proven track record and reputation of
offering a high level of English language education. (Licensed by the British
Council).
Social aspect (activities and social trips):
This includes a wide variety of supervised social activities, which are included in
the agenda for afternoon, evening and/or weekend periods. This varies from
cultural activities to sports activities, as well as providing students with a
different experience that opens up towards the host country’s culture, traditions,
history and geography.
The students benefit also from mixing with the citizens of the host country they
visit, and offers them an opportunity to communicate with them, whether young
or old, and to benefit from their cultural backgrounds. In addition, the program
includes visits to universities and higher education institutes.
Personal aspect (life with host family):
Students will have the opportunity to complete the process of improving their
English language and their communication skills by using the language after
school hours with a host family (for some students) or in a student
accommodation environment {Boys or girls separate residence}. They can thus
live life quite differently from their usual family lives, setting new expectations
and additional responsibilities for them. Students need to adapt to the new
environment, and this may open up a wide range of horizons for students as
they create new social relationships with different visionaries of their own.
Relying on the fact that many students live alone for the first time away from their
families, they are expected to make of their social connections a new experience they
never had before, which makes things around them seem unfamiliar. The way of life
will look a lot different from the life they are accustomed to. Here, all these new
experiences will look like a new springboard that will help students acquire new
personal skills to make the student look more independent and confident.
